Nestled in the picturesque hills of beautiful Mendocino County is the village of Hopland, where, as the name suggests, hops for beer production were once farmed. But today, Hopland is famous for a different beverage, wine, and is surrounded by some of the best vineyards and wineries in the world. We’re proud to call Hopland home for our visitor-friendly tasting room, located in the middle of town – you really can’t say ‘downtown’ in a town so small – at 13521 Highway 101 South, Suite 3.

The tasting room is much smaller and more intimate than most found in the more commercial areas of California’s wine country, but in it are served as many as thirty premium wines under four distinct labels: Saint Gregory for Pinots, Monte Volpe for central and southern Italy and the Friuli region in the northeast, Enotria, specializing in the heritage of the Piedmont region of northwest Italy, and Graziano, which produces the heritage grapes of Mendocino, many of which are from head-pruned, Old Vine vineyards. All wines here are always open for sampling and there is never a tasting fee. In addition to an amazing array of hand-crafted artisan white, rose and red wines, there are also olive oils to try, including our estate-grown, locally-pressed extra virgin olive oil released under the Monte Volpe label. There is also a selection of polo shirts, T-shirts, caps and gifts from which to choose.

We invite you to take the slightly longer journey to find us here in Hopland, where family artisan winemaking is still in evidence, where crowds are rare and traffic practically non-existent and where you can find wines of the highest quality without the attitude or cost of other regions.
