Ridge Vineyards Monte Bello Winery

Monte Bello is first and foremost a wine of place. That place – high atop the Santa Cruz Mountains underlain by decomposing limestone and Franciscan rock – produces a wine unlike any other. It is their belief that this vineyard with its very low-yielding vines (less than two tons per acre) is capable of creating a wine of great significance, depth, complexity and aging potential – but only if they take care in sustaining it. Their vineyard practices, therefore, do not intervene; rather they use and preserve the existing eco-system through techniques such as sowing cover crops and utilizing integrated pest management to nurture and protect the vines. They do not add anything to the vineyard that is not natural.

Monte Bello Winery offers tasting experiences by reservations from their estate vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains and Sonoma County.  

Their Estate Tasting Experience is a seated tasting flight of four of our single-vineyard wines from their estate vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains and Sonoma County. It is complimentary for wine club members and offered daily by reservation.  Limited to groups of 6 or fewer guests and takes approximately 75 minutes in duration.

Their Private Library Tasting is a seated tasting experience that offers guests the unique opportunity to taste current release and older vintage wines side-by-side, providing insight into how our wines evolve over time.

Private tastings and events are available in a variety of scenarios depending on your group size and your preferences.
