Beiras is a region in Portugal, consisting of Beira Litoral, Beira Baixa, Beira Alta, and Beira Interior. It is divided into Beiras and Serra da Estrela, Beira Baixa, Beiras and Serra da Estrela, and Beira Litoral.

Located in the central and northern parts of the country, the Beiras region is known for its natural beauty, particularly its mountain ranges, rivers, and coastlines. It is filled with historical cities, castles, and rustic villages.

The area boasts of the highest mountain in mainland Portugal, the Serra da Estrela. This makes it a popular destination for skiing and hiking. Beiras is also known for its vineyards and is a major producer of wine in Portugal.

Culturally, Beiras has a rich history with medieval architecture present in its towns and cities. Coimbra, a city in Beira Litoral, is famous for one of the oldest universities in the world.

The regional cuisine is hearty and varies from the coast to the interior, with plenty of local cheeses, sausages, and wines to sample. Traditional dishes include roast kid, stewed goat, and a variety of fish dishes along the coast.
