Melon de Bourgogne

Melon de Bourgogne is a type of white grape that is native to the Burgundy region of France, but is now grown most extensively in the Loire Valley.

The grape is known for producing light-bodied wines that are typically described as having a citrus-like taste and high acidity, making them refreshing and perfect for seafood dishes. Melon de Bourgogne based wines are often described as having crisp, green apple flavors, and sometimes mineral notes.

This varietal is most famously used to produce the Muscadet wine, particularly Muscadet Sèvre et Maine. The wines are usually made to be consumed young and fresh. However, if aged 'sur lie' (on the lees), they can gain more depth, structure and a slight yeasty character.

The vines are quite hardy, making it a reliable grape to grow even in colder conditions, and they usually produce high yields. They bud early, however, and are therefore at risk of spring frosts. Lake Erie

Lake Erie is the fourth-largest lake of the five great lakes in North America and the eleventh-largest globally by surface area. It is also the shallowest and smallest by volume. It is bordered on the north by the Canadian province of Ontario, on the west by the U.S. state of Michigan, on the south and east by the U.S. states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York, and on the southeast by the Niagara River.

Fume Blanc

Ballard Canyon

Ballard Canyon is a relatively small but vibrant wine-growing region located in Santa Barbara County, California. The area is set amidst the rolling coastal hills, lying halfway between the Santa Rita Hills appellation to the West and the Happy Canyon appellation to the East.
