Biscoitos is a civil parish located in the municipality of Praia da Vitória, on the Portuguese island of Terceira, part of the autonomous region of Azores. It is known primarily for its natural features, including its piscinas naturais, or natural swimming pools, which have been formed among black lava rocks along the coast.
This area of the Azores has a warm, temperate climate, with significant rainfall throughout the year. Biscoitos is a must-visit in Azores for its unique geology and access to the beautiful and sheltered natural swimming areas.
Another attraction in Biscoitos is the Wine Museum which showcases the historical and cultural significance of wine production in the area.
