It is known for its marble, called Botticino marble, which has been used in major public buildings, including the United Nations Headquarters in New York City and the Altare della Patria in Rome. The town's economy is largely based on the production and export of this marble. Botticino is divided into three zones, each with their own distinct characteristics. Botticino Mattina is the industrial area, Botticino Sera is the old, historic area, and Botticino is the modern residential area.
