Applegate Valley is a unique wine-growing region located in Southern Oregon, known for its diverse microclimates and fertile soil. It lies between the cities of Grants Pass and Medford, stretching approximately 50 miles north towards Roseburg. The valley was named after a pioneering family that settled in the area in the mid-1800s.
Encircled by the Siskiyou Mountains, it's known for its beauty, featuring rolling hills, lush forests, and a winding river — the Applegate River. The valley enjoys a Mediterranean climate characterized by warm, dry summers and wet, mild winters which is ideal for growing a wide range of grape varietals.
