Nova Scotia is one of the 13 provinces and territories of Canada. It is situated in the eastern part of the country and is one of the four Atlantic provinces. Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, Nova Scotia is the second smallest province in Canada and consists largely of a mainland peninsula and several islands.
The capital and largest city of Nova Scotia is Halifax. The province itself is recognized for its high standard of living, quality of education, and cultural diversity.
