Verduzzo Friulano is a white wine grape varietal native to the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region in Northeastern Italy. Though primarily used to make sweet dessert wines known for their amber color and notes of both fresh and dried fruits, it can also produce dry wines that have a more bitter finish. Both wine styles can have a strong minerality and high acidity. Flavors and aromas frequently associated with this varietal include honey, apricots, peaches, and almonds. Verduzzo Friulano is known for its ability to age well, and it's not uncommon for some dessert wines made from this varietal to be aged for 10 years or more.
