Tulocay Winery
Few wine connoisseurs realize that Tulocay is one of the oldest wineries in Napa Valley. Founded in 1975, Tulocay has been acknowledged by Napa Valley insiders and old timers as having a style that represents Napa before it became "Beverly Hills-ified".
While many wines around the world today are made in the same so-called international style, Tulocay wines are crafted by traditional methods that reflect the character of the individual vineyard as expressed by the winemaker. They are wines meant to be an integral part of the meal. And many are wines created to be consumed in the future (global climate change permitting) as well as appreciated for their youthful forcefulness in their youth.
Like art, film, literature and politics, wine is an individual taste. One can seek out the highly rated and well publicized wines. That's fine. But how many really express art versus those that are simply manipulated to garner high scores in BIG NAME wine publications or from highly publicized wine blowhards?
This is a question that you, the wine drinker, must decide.
