Stag's Leap Wine Cellars

From the FAY Outlook & Visitor Center, to the Estate Vineyards, to the underground caves, a visit to Stag's Leap Wine Cellars is a must-see feast for the eyes as well as the palate.  Using plenty of glass in the design for natural light, the space is bright and natural. More importantly, it also allows you to witness the changes the seasons and climate have on their vines in a way that has never been seen before.

Just inside the entrance to their Napa Valley wine caves lies the Great Room, a stunning space that glows with the light of hammered copper sconces and shimmering quartzite floors.

Outside its doors, the ARCADE, also designed by Barcelona-based architect Javier Barba, combines graceful arches with exposed masses of rock and soil, which lead to breathtaking views of the beautiful Stags Leap Palisades.

In the caves there are over 34,000 square feet of tunnels capable of housing 6,000 barrels. At the center of the cave network is the Round Room, where a Foucault pendulum, one of only about fifty in the world, is suspended from the ceiling and marks the passing of time, and the aging of wine.
