Mum and daughter team, Jane and Pippa are on a new adventure…Our most exciting news is that we have decided to stop spraying chemicals and are converting to Biodynamic/sustainable/organic farming. Our aspiration for the vineyard is that one day it will exist as a whole organism that has built up its own immunities against the diseases that in the past we have been protecting it from. In short…to focus on the interrelationship of the soil, plants and animals as a closed, self-nourishing system by using natural solutions to imbalances in the vineyard. We hope to make a wine that reflects this, which would benefit both us and the planet. Sons Tom and Harry are also involved; Tom’s working sales at another famous winery in Stellenbosch and Harry, after studying viticulture at Elsenberg agricultural college in Stellenbosch, is harvesting here and in France this year.
