Fenestra Winery

Fran and I started Fenestra Winery in 1976 in the old Ruby Hill/Stony Ridge Winery. As I recall we were only the fifth winery in the valley at that time: Wente, Concannon, Villa Armando, Stony Ridge and Fenestra. I was still teaching Chemistry full-time at San Jose State University, and we were living in San Jose. We moved our winery to our present location in 1980. Since those early days, we have seen remarkable changes in the Livermore Valley with over 50 wineries in the valley today.
