Scuppernong

Scuppernong is a type of grape native to the Southern United States. These grapes are large, round, and have a yellow-green skin. The Scuppernong grape is a varietal of the Muscadine species, which is known for its tough, thick skin.

The term "Scuppernong" refers not only to the grape but also to the bronze-colored wine produced from it. Scuppernong produces a very sweet wine with a fruity, musky flavor, distinct from many other grape wines.

The grapes are also often used to make jellies, jams, and juices due to their sweet and robust flavor. The vines are very hardy, resistant to pests and diseases, and capable of withstanding hot, humid climates. Scuppernong grapevines are also one of the oldest species of native grapevines in the United States.
