Isabella

Isabella is a grape varietal that is known for its versatility. This grape is black and highly resistent to many of the diseases that usually plague other grape species. Originally, it is believed to have been cultivated in the United States, but has now spread across the world, especially to regions with cooler climates.

The Isabella grape is used to produce a wide range of wines including red, rose, and even sparkling wine. It typically gives a fruity, foxy flavor often with notes of wild strawberry, cranberry and cherry. However, it somewhat controversial in some wine regions, such as Europe, as the grape is a hybrid variety, which are generally looked down upon in traditional wine making circles.

Isabella is also used to make juice, jams, and jellies due to its sweet and unique taste. In viticulture, it is particularly appreciated for its resistance to phylloxera and frost.
