Asyrtiko

Asyrtiko is a white wine grape varietal native to the island of Santorini in Greece. It is known for its mineral character, high acidity, and notes of citrus and summer fruits. The wine produced from this grape often has a full body and strong flavor. Despite the hot climate in which it grows, Asyrtiko grapes manage to maintain their acidity, producing a wine that can age well. This varietal is also often used in the production of Vinsanto, a sweet dessert wine from the same region.
