Champagne Extra Dry

Champagne Extra Dry is a style of sparkling wine that hails from the Champagne region in France, renowned for its unique and celebrated Champagne productions. Contrary to what its name might suggest, "Extra Dry" actually indicates that this bubbly is slightly sweeter in taste. It contains an amount of sugar per litre that falls between Brut and Sec categories, typically between 12 to 17 grams of sugar per litre.

In terms of flavors, Champagne Extra Dry tends to express a balance of fresh fruity and floral notes, as well as the traditional toasty and bready characteristics found in many Champagnes. It often exhibits hints of apple, pear, citrus, almond, honey and vanilla, combined with a creaminess and a crisp acidity, resulting in a pleasing balance on the palate.

Champagne Extra Dry is best served chilled, usually around 7-9 degrees Celsius, and can be paired with a range of food, including light appetizers, seafood, and desserts. Its slightly sweeter profile makes it a popular choice for occasions like weddings or celebrations or enjoyed simply as an aperitif.
