The Texas Independence Wine Trail is a group of wineries located in Southeast Texas, roughly between Houston and San Antonio. The trail features seven different wineries, each with its own unique blend of Texas charm and high-quality wines.
The wineries on the trail include Bernhardt Winery, Colony Cellars, Cork This! Winery, Messina Hof Winery, Peach Creek Vineyards, Pleasant Hill Winery, and Saddlehorn Winery. These wineries all offer a range of tastings and events for visitors, making the trail a popular destination for wine lovers.
The Texas Independence Wine Trail spans across many scenic landscapes of Texas. Each winery on the trail is located within close proximity to historic sites related to the Texas Independence, providing visitors with an educational perspective as well.
Upon visiting the wineries, guests can also enjoy live music, wine-paired dinners, grape stomping and harvest festivals. The trail offers both self-guided tours at each of the wineries as well as guided tours which include transportation.
Though Texas may not be the first place that comes to mind when it comes to wine, the Texas Independence Wine Trail showcases the state's growing wine industry and its commitment to producing high-quality vintages.
