Dominio de Valdepusa is a prestigious vineyard estate located in the Castilla-La Mancha region of Spain. Covering approximately 50 hectares, this estate is known for producing high quality wines with a distinct character and complexity. Established in the late 13th century, Dominio de Valdepusa has a rich history of wine production.
The vineyard was the first in Spain to receive the distinguished Pago denomination, which is Spain's highest category for winemaking, given only to individual vineyards that consistently produce wines of unique and superior quality. This not only reflects the quality of wines produced here, but also the unique soil, topography and climate at Dominio de Valdepusa.
The estate is owned by the Marqués de Griñon family, who have a longstanding reputation for innovative viticulture and winemaking practices. It is currently managed by Carlos Falcó, a pioneer in modern Spanish winemaking, who introduced the use of international grape varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petit Verdot in Spain.
Dominio de Valdepusa features a modern winery and cellar where the wines are carefully aged to perfection. Its wine range includes single-varietal expressions as well as blended wines, all made from grapes grown within the estate. These wines are celebrated for their depth, finesse and balance, and have received numerous awards from international wine critics.
