It is located approximately 17 km west of the county capital, Pitesti, and it is composed of five villages: Brăduleț, Buzoieni, Gliganu de Jos, Stănești, and Valea Nandrii. The commune is primarily populated by Romanians, with Orthodox Christianity being the predominant religion.
