North Yuba, also known as North Yuba River, is a river located in the Sierra Nevada of California, the United States. It is one of the three major tributaries of the Yuba River, the other two being South Yuba River and Middle Yuba River. The river's main stem is about 61 miles long and its northernmost fork is about 60 miles long. North Yuba River originates from the Sierra Valley, flowing west through a series of reservoirs and becoming a part of the Yuba River near Smartsville, California. The river is a popular location for fishing, hiking, camping, and whitewater rafting. Its surrounding region is known for mining gold during the California Gold Rush era.
