Description

In 1990, Margaret and Anthony relocated their family from the bustling city of Sydney to the tranquil countryside of Canowindra. With their two young daughters, Isabella and Nadja, in tow, they embraced a new life on a sprawling 1000-acre property. Anthony, a dedicated GP, found work in nearby Cowra, while Margaret took on the roles of property manager and devoted mother to their growing family.

The allure of country living captivated the couple, and over the next decade, they nurtured a shared dream of cultivating grapes and establishing a boutique wine brand. However, tragedy struck in 2003 when Anthony lost his battle with pancreatic cancer, leaving Margaret to navigate the challenges of the property and raise their four teenage daughters alone.

Despite this immense hardship, Margaret's unwavering determination and passion for the land propelled her forward. She poured her heart and soul into Wallington Wines, shaping it into the thriving enterprise it is today. Her long-term vision and tireless efforts have been instrumental in the winery's success.

In 2017, Margaret's daughter Nadja and her husband Steve joined the Wallington Wines team, strengthening the family bond at the heart of the business. Together, they continue to manage the property, vineyard, and winery, embodying the spirit of a family-run, owned, and operated venture.

Margaret's other daughters, Isabella, Veronica, and Gabrielle, also contribute to the business in various ways, further solidifying the family's commitment to their shared passion. The winery's Bald Hill labels stand as a testament to their beautiful family and serve as a tribute to their remarkable journey.
