Valka Winery

Valkha Winery comes from vineyards with a beautiful view of Palava. When harvest time comes, they offer new half-fermented wine ("burčák") at the yard of their winery and you can also see part of the winemaking process of how the grapes are processed. The village of Nosislav connects the Brno-Vienna cycle trail, wine cycle trails of Brno and Velke Pavlovice and Cezava bike trails leading to Slavkov.

Since 1991 they have gone some way towards their dream, but there is still a long way to go. They began with a small vineyard on their own land and a cellar with just a couple of barrels. They gradually started planting more grapevine, buying better winemaking equipment and mechanizing, which finally brought them to their today's level. Today they can offer you distinctive Bio wines, unique varietal Bio grape jelly, Bio must and other products.

Since 1379 winemaking in the Židlochovice region was governed by wine laws. In 1497 Vilem of Pernstejn gave Nosislav its own independent vineyard privilege ("horenské právo"). At the time, the slopes of Výhon were occupied by vineyards belonging to Brno monasteries and townspeople. Their family tradition continues what our ancestors started; cultivation of vineyards and winemaking was part of their agricultural activities. Their winery was founded in 1991. We started building on old foundations with new ideals.

They produce wines in a natural and ecological style with minimal use of sulfites and using the most gentle production methods..

Their premium line are unique pieces from great vintages, to which we have indulged in special care to make their character stand out even more.

In addition to wine, they also produce grape musts, jellies, or cherry jam, roasted pumpkin seeds and chutney. All basic ingredients are from their fields.

Valka Winery's big domain has always been cuvée, it's a great way how you can combine multiple varieties to create the best and perfect wine.
