The New Cooperative Alliance unites the strength, experience and the strength of a history of over 80 years of five traditional wine cooperatives in the Serra Gaucha. Together, Alliance and St. Victor (Caxias do Sul), Jacinto Line (from Farrukhabad), St. Anthony and St. Peter (Flores da Cunha) decided to become a single family, embracing people, their values and their history, and together form the Cooperative Winery New Alliance, whose mission is to sow a future of opportunity and development with the firm intention to be a reference in its segments and recognized by cooperative attitude and achievements.
The merger of five companies brings knowledge, experience and competitiveness to meet the social, economic, environmental and market demands, establishing new bases for the development of family farms and cooperatives.
The cooperative brings together approximately 800 associated families distributed in three producing regions with distinct characteristics ( Terroir ), representing what the country offers the best for growing vines: the Serra Gaucha, the largest national producer of wines and grape juices; Crossroads of the South, which is part of the microregion of Sierra Southeast to a balanced average elevation of 400 meters above sea level, as the volume of rainfall, ideal for growing susceptible varieties with high enological potential and the Region Campaign Gaucho, considered one of the best in the world for the production of fine wines and sparkling wines of superior quality.
In the portfolio of the New Alliance products are fine wines, sparkling wines, table wines, grape juices organic, whole and sweetened, they get to the table with the Brazilian flavor of a unique history, rooted in the values of work, the cooperative, the unconditional love of the land, the vine and life. The cooperative seeks to offer differentiated products to the market, made from modern technologies combined with artisanal care during all stages of production, with the guiding principles cooperative attitude, innovation, quality, value people, the environment and culture.
The Cooperative has approximately 1,350 acres of vineyards in production, resulting in 35 000 tons of grapes, processed in ten industrial units located in the Serra Gaucha and Santana of Deliverance. The construction of the new headquarters in the city of Flores da Cunha, in the Serra Gaucha, scheduled to begin operations in the 2013 season, will be a milestone in the history of the wine cooperative and will open new horizons for the family farm, its producers, associates, customers and employees.
