Fox Fire Farms is home to wines of distinction. We may be the only winery La Plata County, but even if there were dozens of other vintners in the area, you’d still want come see us. We had success growing white Riesling grapes. Our cold climate vineyard has Marquette, Corot Noir, Traminette, Brianna, and Vignoles grapes, French-American hybrid varieties that provide exceptional flavor and balance to the final product. These unique grapes have been cultivated to withstand low temperatures, allowing us to make wines in cold conditions. Our creations are moderately priced, but never cheap. We’re more than just a winery. Our stunning location on an 1100 acre ranch provides the perfect backdrop for drinking a glass of wine and forgetting about your cares and worries. Our beautiful farm is the ideal setting for a wedding, or any other special event. Our gift shop is an excellent place to find the perfect present for the wine aficionado in your life. Our European-trained chef Ken Thers provides a selection of appetizers to complete your wine tasting experience.
