Casto Oaks Tasting Room

Harold and I are looking forward to meeting you at our new tasting room in historic downtown Mariposa. Casto Oaks Fine Wine and Art brings together our Sierra Foothill tasty wines and an exceptional art gallery. Come in for a complimentary taste while considering colorful watercolors, dramatic oils, vivid hand blown glass, distinctive jewelry and more. While we are excited about our new tasting room, we also are glad to make arrangements to meet you at our vineyard and winery. Our 22 year old Zinfandels are suited perfectly for the climate and soil conditions of the Mount Bullion Valley along scenic Highway 49. These Zinfandel vines are hardy, produce small amounts of fruit per acre and make an absolutely wonderful red wine. Harold & I are stewards of 6 acres of these vines. JK Smith, our grandson, has joined our family vineyard as our winemaker. We prune, we trellis and train, we watch their growth through the seasons, we harvest, we press, and we bottle. We purchase our Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah from Mariposa vineyards to truly make great wines from Mariposa County.
