Yountville is a small town located in Napa County, northern California, well-renowned for its world-class wineries and high-end restaurants. It spans an area of approximately 1.53 square miles and had a population of around 2,933 as per the 2010 census.
The town is named post its principal founder, George Calvert Yount, a pioneer in California's wine industry. Yountville is part of the prominent wine region, Napa Valley, and is home to several acclaimed vineyards famous for producing quality wine varieties especially Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.
Yountville also prides itself for being a gastronomy hotspot boasting more Michelin stars per capita than any other place in North America. It features a variety of gourmet dining destinations including Thomas Keller’s French Laundry, widely considered one of the best restaurants in the world.
