The Mason Dixon Wine Trail is a popular wine-tasting and tour route located in the region around the historic Mason-Dixon Line in Pennsylvania and Maryland, USA. The trail extends from just south of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to north of Baltimore, Maryland.

It comprises of more than 20 family-owned wineries and vineyards, offering a wide range of wine varieties produced with different winemaking techniques and styles. These wineries often offer various events, including wine tasting sessions, tours, wine pairing dinners, and festivals, where visitors can savor specially crafted wines, interact with winemakers, and learn about the area's rich wine-growing heritage.

Moscato di Pantelleria

This wine is traditionally vinified passito style, which means that the grapes are dried to concentrate the sugars before they are fermented, resulting in a higher alcohol content. These wines have distinctive flavors of blackberry, roses, and spices, with a hint of sweetness perfectly balanced by acidity.

It is typically aged for at least two years, of which at least five months are in wooden barrels before being put on the market, according to the production specifications. This aging process gives the wine its complex and refined flavor.

It’s a sought-after and appreciated wine, but production is very limited making it quite a precious product. In fact, Moscato di Scanzo is named among the rarest wines in Italy.

The wine has earned a reputation for its unique flavour profile which often exhibits refreshing floral notes, such as orange blossom and honeysuckle, combined with fruit-driven aromas of peach, pear and apricot, overlaying a honeyed, sweet core.

The wine production zone encompasses the area around the city of Trani in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani and part of the province of Bari. It was given DOC status, a quality assurance label for Italian food products, particularly wines, in 1974.

Pairing beautifully with pastries, desserts and cheese, Moscato di Trani has moderate alcohol content making it a perfect sipping wine for various occasions. High-quality versions can be cellared and enjoyed after several years, where they're said to develop more complex nutty and caramel flavours. Moscato Passito di Pantelleria

Moscato Passito di Pantelleria is a sweet, high-quality and typically a dessert white wine produced on the small Italian island of Pantelleria, situated in the Mediterranean Sea between Sicily and Tunisia.

Moselle

Moselle is a department in the northeastern part of France, named after the Moselle River. It is part of the Grand Est region - a term coined after the amalgamation of Alsace, Champagne-Ardenne, and Lorraine in 2016.
