Stringtown Cellars and Lavender Farm
Stringtown Farms, a charming vineyard and lavender farm nestled near Eatonville, Washington, invites visitors to experience the beauty of its unique offerings. While the wine tasting room and lavender gift shop are currently closed until the Christmas tree season, the farm offers a delightful experience for those seeking a tranquil escape.
Open until October 31st, 2024, the Produce Stand at Stringtown Farms welcomes guests from 10 am to 5 pm, Wednesday through Sunday. Here, visitors can find a selection of fresh produce and other farm-related goods.
The farm, owned and operated by Chris and John Adams, is a testament to their passion for viticulture and the cultivation of lavender. Since purchasing the property in 2002, they have transformed the old Christmas tree farm into a thriving vineyard boasting a variety of red and white wine grapes, including Agria, Saparavi, Leon Millot, and Ortega. John continues to experiment with new plantings, seeking the ideal grape varietals to flourish in the Puget Sound Appellation.
In 2003, the farm expanded to include a fragrant lavender field. Starting with 250 Grosso lavender plants, the collection has grown to encompass eleven varieties, including both English and hybrid lavenders. Visitors are welcome to wander through the vineyards and lavender fields, taking in the scenic views of Mt. Rainier, enjoying a picnic lunch at the provided tables, and immersing themselves in the calming aroma of lavender.
While the wine tasting room and gift shop are temporarily closed, the farm's produce stand and picturesque grounds offer a delightful experience for those seeking a taste of rural life and the beauty of nature.
