Wrattonbully

Wrattonbully wine is a popular and prestigious varietal that hails from the Wrattonbully wine region in South Australia. The region is renowned for its expressive and fruit-driven Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, which have put Wrattonbully on the global stage. The region's naturally fertile soil and excellent drainage contribute to the vibrant flavor profile of these wines, which often include notes of black cherry, plum, black pepper, and chocolate.

The region's cooler climate also allows for excellent Chardonnay production, resulting in wines with crisp acidity and notes of green apple, citrus, and white peach.

Among the notable features of Wrattonbully wines is their balance. The wines are not overly powerful or bold on the palate, yet they excite with their depth of flavour and length. The wines can also cellar well, developing further complexity with age.

Driven by a commitment to sustainable farming, many Wrattonbully wineries increasingly employ organic and biodynamic practices, further enhancing the natural qualities of their wines. Wrattonbully is a perfect example of a region where tradition meets innovation, resulting in some exciting and characterful wines.
